My Favorites in the garden
I love sharing great products and tools I use in my garden. We all want to grow a productive garden that is cost effective. In my small garden I truly value growing the maximum amount of food in the least amount of space. This month let’s look at vertical growing as a space saving method. Please note, I’m not sponsored, and I paid for my GREENSTALK vertical growing planter.
GREENSTALK is a vertical planter system made of high-performance food safe plastic. It has a patented watering system that allows even watering though out each tier and from tier to tier ( top to bottom.) Each tier has six pockets in either 7-inch depth or 10 in depth. The tier can be stacked. You can grow 30 crops (plants) in a five-tier setup or up to 42 crops in a seven-tier setup. I have a total of 2 GREENSTALK towers growing 48 individual crops that include lettuce, Swiss chard, arugula, spinach, kale, bunching onions, garlic, strawberries, sweet alyssums, rosemary, tomatoes and radishes. I’ve been growing in my GREENSTALK planters for 4 years and I’ve found the planter to be a great space saving solution for container growing. It has a two-foot span. It is a durable planter that I keep outdoors year-round. The planter allows me to grow 100 percent of my leafy green vegetables. I rate the GREENSTALK vertical planter as a superstar in the garden for high production in a small space. It is ideal for leafy greens, strawberries and herbs.
